Why ten

Why registrants take a set rather than a single course

Every regulator weighs the same three things, and a single course rarely evidences all of them.

Insight, reflection and remediation are separate

Insight is understanding what happened and its effect. Reflection is setting that down in your own words. Remediation is what you changed, evidenced. A panel that finds one without the others usually says so.

Letters name more than one concern

A single letter often raises probity, boundaries and record-keeping together. Ten courses lets you answer each strand rather than the loudest one.

Dates matter as much as content

Every certificate carries a date. Acting early, before a hearing date exists, is visible in a way that acting late is not — and several regulators can close a case at the written stage.

It is cheaper as a set

At £49 to £99 a course, ten bought individually cost meaningfully more than £500. The set exists so that cost is not the reason a strand goes unanswered.

Written for your regulator

Your profession’s courses are set out against the standards and the concerns that your regulator actually applies, and name the bodies that will read what you write. The ten you choose speak to the letter you received, not to remediation in general.

What a course cannot do

No course decides a case, and no provider can promise an outcome. Anyone who tells you otherwise is not worth buying from.

Key terms

What your regulator means by these words

Every UK regulator weighs the same three things, and uses them in a particular way. These are the terms the courses are built around.

Fitness to practice
Having the skills, knowledge, character and health to practise your profession safely and effectively. A regulator opens a fitness to practice investigation when a concern suggests that one of those may be in question. It is a question about current and future safety, not only about what happened.
Insight
Understanding what went wrong, why it happened, and the effect it had on patients, colleagues and public confidence in the profession. Insight is assessed at almost every stage, whatever the allegation, and it is the element most often described as lacking.
Reflection
Setting that understanding down honestly and in your own words, including what you would do differently and what you have already changed. Reflection is the written record of insight, which is why the two are so often confused.
Remediation
The concrete steps taken so that the same thing does not happen again — training, supervision, changes to how you work — together with evidence that they happened. Insight without remediation is an account; remediation without insight is a certificate.

What is included in the bulk buy offer?
Any ten of our online courses for £500, chosen by you. Every course is certified by The CPD Certification Service, gives immediate access, is worked through at your own pace, and issues a CPD certificate on completion.

What does the £949 option add?
It adds one of our four live Face-to-Face courses to your ten online courses, chosen by you: Professional Boundaries; Probity and Ethics; Ethics and Professionalism; or the Reflection Workshop, Insight, Reflect, Remediate. The Face-to-Face course is delivered live rather than self-paced.

Which courses can I choose my ten from?

Which regulators do these courses cover?

Do I get a certificate for every course?
Yes. Each completed course issues its own CPD certificate recording what you studied and when, which is what makes it usable as evidence in a portfolio or a written response.

Will completing ten courses decide my case?
No. No course decides a fitness to practice case and no provider can promise an outcome. What a dated certificate from an external provider can do is evidence that you acted, and when.

How quickly can I start after purchasing?
Immediately. Access is online and available as soon as the purchase completes, so a course can be started the same day a letter arrives.
